Peppermint Tea

New Pepper - Countertop

Brandon Kelly has created a brand new Pepper for Mint; Countertop.

Countertop is a simple plugin, or “pepper”, for Mint that grabs the number of rows in your database table.
It’s useful for keeping track of how many users your website has, or any number of other possibilities.

This is a fantastic pepper for those looking to keep track of total number of registered users or for those running an ecommerce site. I have this Pepper running over at my little app Sidepath and it is a great way to keep track of the total number of sales via my Mint stats instead of having to login to the backend sales app.

I have updated this post to cause less confusion. I managed to go of on a rant about a Pepper that could track the total number of users online which was completely off topic and had nothing to do with Brandons great Pepper. Sorry about that!

What is this Pepper good for?

Counting the rows in a database table. I am using it to track the total number of sales, saves me from having to login to my backend.

Can you have more than one, so that you can monitor multiple tables?
